I Won’t Give Up in Exposing Tinubu, Ex-UK Parliamentarian, Galloway Vows

A former parliamentarian in the United Kingdom, George Galloway, has vowed to ensure that the alleged criminal past of Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu is revealed to the world.
The Briton who was a member of the UK Parliament from 1987 to 2015 has taken a sudden and keen interest in President Tinubu after the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), which he chairs severed ties with Niger and imposed crippling economic sanctions after a military coup toppled the country’s democratically elected president.
Galloway while condemning the swooping sanctions resulting in Nigeria cutting power supply to the troubled country, took to his Twitter account to lambast President Tinubu and describe him as a drug dealer in the United States.
He wrote: “I started to look into the past of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Chairman, Tinubu. I didn’t realise that he was a drug dealer in the United States. And the election that brought him to power is still being credibly contested as fraudulent.”
Soon after, a former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, slammed Galloway, telling him that if he was looking for corrupt leaders, he should look within and to several Western Prime Ministers, Presidents, and leaders like George W. Bush, Tony Blair, Barack Obama, David Cameron, Nicolas Sarkozy, Boris Johnson and so many others “who collectively and over the last 25 years orchestrated proxy wars in so many countries, plundered and stole their national patrimony, mineral resources and treasure all on a false premise and stinking lie”.
Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the Nigerian ruling All Progressives Congress and Director of defunct Special Media Projects and Operations & New Media, Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, warned Galloway to stop attacking President Tinubu or prepare for a great deal of turbulence in his “murky, inglorious, meaningless, and thoroughly uninspiring little life”.
Responding, the former British lawmaker promised not to back out until he brings the alleged criminal past of President Tinubu out for the world to know.
He also admonished the Nigerian Judiciary to deliver a fair trial using the trending hashtag #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary which is a call to action for the judges presiding over the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
Also in a Twitter post made via his handle on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, the former MP said that if Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu hadn’t threatened to invade Niger he might not have time to think of Tinubu and his past.
He wrote: “Truth is if #Nigerian #Bagman #Tinubu hadn’t threatened to invade #Niger and have #Africans murdering Africans for #France and the #USEmpire he might never have caught my eye – I have many fish to fry.”
“But now that he has, and his barking chorus is in full-song I won’t give up,” he stated.

Abiola Cannot Be Recognised As Former President; He Was Never Sworn-in – Gen Ishola Williams

By Eric Elezuo
One of the prime actors of the June 12, 1993 incidents, General Ishola Williams, has said that much as Chief MKO Abiola wrong was created having won the election, and denied victory, he cannot be recognized as a former President of Nigeria.
Gen Williams made his revelation while speaking as a guest on Channels television socio-political programme, Inside Source.
He maintained that only those who were sworn in that recognised as former presidents, and Abiola was never sworn in.
“Abiola cannot be recognised as former president because he was never sworn in.
The General, who said that he resigned from the army as a result of the wholesome reception given to General Sani Abacha, when he overthrew Chief Ernest Shonekan-led Interim National Government, contrary to expectation, also picked flaws in the narratives given by former Military President Ibrahim Babangida, in his recently launched book, A Journey In Service.
Williams rose in the army to become the Commandant of Army Signals, Commander of Training and Doctrine (TRADOC) and Chief of Defence Training and Planning, from where he resigned.

Obasa Storms Lagos Assembly with Armed Men, Claims He’s Still Speaker

Tension escalated at the Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday as impeached Speaker Mudashiru Obasa made a dramatic return to reclaim his position.
Accompanied by heavily armed men, Obasa stormed the Assembly complex in a bold move that has thrown the State’s legislature into turmoil.
In a stunning turn of events, security details assigned to the substantive Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda, were abruptly withdrawn on Thursday morning, clearing the path for Obasa’s controversial comeback.
Sources revealed that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) ordered the withdrawal of all security operatives attached to Meranda, leaving her exposed in the midst of an intensifying power struggle.
The Speaker’s Special Adviser on Information, Mr. Victor Ganzallo, expressed concern over the security vacuum created by the withdrawal of personnel.
“In the early hours of Thursday, we woke up to the startling news that all security details assigned to Madam Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, had been withdrawn.
This includes the police and DSS officers, leaving her exposed to threats amid the ongoing speakership crisis,” Ganzallo stated.
He further called on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the State’s Chief Security Officer, to intervene urgently to prevent a complete breakdown of law and order within the Assembly.
“The withdrawal of security personnel has left the Assembly naked and vulnerable at a critical time. Urgent action is needed to restore order,” he pleaded.
With the speakership battle taking a dramatic new turn, political watchers are keenly observing how the crisis will unfold in the coming days.
