It is stale recounting that a certain video of minors or underage students of Chrisland School, Victoria Island, having sex in a room in Dubai while on a educational tour, is trending and garnering attention from all and sundry. It is also of no use rebuilding the feedbacks cascading from the unholy union.
However, for the benefit of the many, who have not been privileged to eyesore of a video, it would be imperative to state here that the setting is a room and after lights out as the school authority posited. The characters include a lone 10/11 year old girl completely naked. Two young boys (one in yellow shirt and the other completely naked) whose ages are yet to be made public and a voice from behind the camera. who ostensibly was filming the entire act. There was yet another boy in black top when the girl reversed her sex style.
Act One, Scene One, which obviously summarised the 29 seconds drama entered the young girl, whose name is still kept away for now, fully clad in her birthday cloths, sitting and riding the other equally naked boy, who lay flat on his back. The girl was moving up and down the boy, and twisting her innocent waist at regular interval. The boy’s hands moves in quick rhythm up the girl’s chest, obviously fumbling her breast. The girl does not appear to be under pressure. None of them seem to be in a hurry. None of the onlookers felt like something unusual was taking place. They appeared to be in a regular exercise. The girl performed the proverbial cowgirl, and completed with the reverse cowgirl
Act One Scene Two – the mother of the girl after about three weeks, raised alarm, reporting that her daughter was raped in faraway Dubai, and the school authorities hid it from her and treated the family wrongly. She alleged that the school conducted secret pregnancy test on her daughter without her consent among other things. The school followed up with a suspension letter to the girl in question for immoral act.
Act Two Scene One – The Lagos State government in conjunction with relevant ministries and agencies, shut down all Chrisland Schools in Lagos pending investigation by the Police, who has since taken over the case.
Act Three Scene One – Nigerians finally watch the video, and disappointment at the girl, the parents and the school became the other of the day. Almost everyone admitted that what happened in that room in Dubai was not rape as the mother of the child, and Ubi Franklin posited. Responses show that the girl in question, even at just 10 years, has gone farer than most adults will dream. She owns and personally manage a social media account filled with seductive and sensual dances
“Now I agree Chrisland School sex video is not rape. The girl did it willingly She was even happy doing it and not ashamed. Definitely she had been doing it a long time ago, she was already an expert. Clear case of bad parenting. Her mother is a failure, likewise the father. It’s disgusting mehn!!! A facebook user wrote.

“Now this is the height of it for modern parenting, what is a 10-year-old girl doing on social media to the extent of having a Likee account of her own which, of course, she is handling by herself.
1. That girl has been morally irresponsible for some time.
2. All the boys in the room must have witnessed that activity several times and probably may have had their turns with her.
3. It’s highly irresponsible for an academic institution to take such vulnerable students on an expedition without proper monitoring.
4. I’m not sure I would allow my girl child to embark on an excursion without first drilling her and know that exact type of accommodation made available for the male and female.
5. It’s possible the girl has been exposed to stuff on the social media and greatly influenced by her peers. This is where good parenting comes in. I will always get my wife to have candid discussions with my daughter as soon as she becomes influenced by what happens around her and the society in general.
6. Inasmuch as we try hard, this society is evil and we ultimately ask God to help us with these children. It’s not easy for the school, the parents and the children.”
“It is obvious that children of these days have gone haywire, and as a result should be well marked, especially when they are in teachers custody.
“What I saw in that video are students who performed with impunity, without any form of worry or fear that an elder or their teacher could walk in. It goes to show the kind of school background they were coming from (where anything goes). The relaxed atmosphere is a clear indication that they have no regards for their teachers, and that can only mean that their teachers have compromised in more ways than one (I stand to be corrected).
“While looking into this matter, I think both the immediate and remote causes should be considered.
“One thing is sure however; Chrisland schools, the young lads and of course our dear Ebony Zara😀 need thorough rehabilitation”
This is yet another reaction – “I don’t see how this Chrisland case can be treated without full exposure with the girl’s full ID already out there. It seems all involved are minors and from the gravity of the case, a full exposure of the parents may be necessary.
“The failure of the school to chaperone those kids is a landmark failure in its role as their sole guide and protector in a land far away. The extent is complete, going by what happened. The school should receive a major sanction.
Some will at first be sympathetic with the girl, but a lot will depend on if it can be established that she was unwilling. But I think it can be fairly well accommodated that she was outnumbered and intimidated. Those boys should bear a lot of blame indeed.
“The parents of the boys along with the failure of the school to look after these children in Dubai is the root cause of this horror. The burden of the society right now is to salvage the future of these children while upholding the standards of justice.”
Most reactions have also called out the mother of the girl, saying that her outburst was a little premature. They maintained that she should have found time to watch the video, before concluding that her daughter was hijacked and raped, and going public. Her public outburst created the uproar that followed the trend.
Hear this:
“10 year old chrisland school students had concensual sex, recorded it and share online, The mother of the girl is crying RAPE but the video online reveal contrary as the video clearly show a girl who is vast in knowledge of sexual activities.
“Angel Gabriel please come and blow the Trumpet, enough is enough.”
And this: “I’ve seen it o. This one looks more like an arranged act as the other boys were watching and the girl knew quite well that they were watching her. Also I don’t agree that an induced sex play could be this clear, the girl looks very experienced in that field. Obviously, it wasn’t her first time. At 11 years old, you need to be very wise and experienced to feel relaxed in the act. Even my 28 year old side chic makes sure every window and doors are securely locked before the “do: starts, lol….No rape involved here, abeg,” another respondent added as a matter of fact.
This followed however…
“I do not really agree it’s rape. May be she is also under influence of substance. Failure of the school and parenting too.”

Senate Passes Bill Establishing State Police in Nigeria
The Senate has passed a bill to establish State Police in Nigeria.
The Senate plenary was presided over by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The Senate adopted manual voting for the consideration of the State Police Bill after the electronic voting device developed technical issues during plenary on Wednesday.
Under the manual voting arrangement, each senator had to stand up, announce his or her name, and openly state his or her position on the proposed bill for establishing State Police.
President Bola Tinubu had earlier transmitted a Constitution Amendment Bill seeking the establishment of State Police to the Senate as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s security architecture.
The legislation seeks to amend relevant provisions of the 1999 Constitution to create a legal framework for the establishment of state police across the federation.
The move follows repeated calls by the President for constitutional reforms that would enable states to play a more active role in securing their territories.

US Govt Releases Names of Terrorism Financiers Amid Growing Insecurity
A fresh spotlight was cast on terrorism financing and security threats on Tuesday as the United States sanctioned a Lagos-based alleged ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) financier.
This came as troops neutralised suspected ISWAP (Islamic State West Africa Province) operatives and the Federal Government deepened counterterrorism cooperation with international partners.
The United States imposed sanctions on Mukhtar Adamu Muhammad and three bureaux de change linked to him over accusations of facilitating funds for the terrorist group.
Muhammad, 35, also known as Adamu Mukhtar and Muhammad Mukhtar, was identified as a key facilitator for ISIS-West Africa. He was listed with an address in Agege, Lagos State.
According to the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Muhammad allegedly served as a conduit for ISIS financing through bureaux de change operating in Lagos and Kano states.
The three businesses sanctioned alongside him are Generation Currency Bureau De Change Limited and Nine to Nine Exchange Bureau De Change Limited, both based in Lagos State, as well as Manhattan Bureau De Change Limited in Kano State.
According to OFAC, the network includes a France-based facilitator accused of providing information on explosives to ISIS supporters and a Syria-based operator who allegedly used cryptocurrency to transfer funds to ISIS associates in several countries, including the United States.
Announcing the sanctions, U.S. State Department spokesperson Thomas “Tommy” Pigott said the measures were aimed at disrupting the terrorist group’s financial operations worldwide.
“Under the leadership of President Trump, the United States is dismantling ISIS’s ability to finance terrorism around the world.
“We are cutting off the financial lifelines that enable ISIS to fund attacks, support its regional affiliates, and threaten civilians, including religious minorities,” Pigott said.
He added that the actions reflected sustained U.S. efforts to weaken ISIS, which he said had increasingly decentralised its operations and relied on financial intermediaries to sustain its global network.
The U.S. government also reaffirmed its security partnership with Nigeria, citing Abuja’s role in the May 16, 2026, operation that resulted in the killing of Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, described as the second-highest-ranking ISIS official.
Washington pledged to continue deploying diplomatic and legal measures against ISIS and its supporters.

Phone Hacking Charge: El-Rufai to Remain in Custody as Court Turns Down Bail Variation Request
The embattled former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has lost his battle to get the bail conditions imposed on him by the Federal High Court in Abuja varied.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, on Tuesday, refused to relax the bail conditions for the former governor while delivering a ruling in an application by El-Rufai.
El-Rufai, through his lawyer Paul Erokoro (SAN), had applied for a variation of some of the bail conditions earlier granted him, describing them as harsh, stringent, outlandish and difficult to meet.
The senior lawyer argued that the bail terms are too stringent, particularly the requirements for level 17 civil servants with properties in Maitama or Asokoro, as well as verification and attestation letters from the Kaduna State Traditional Council.
However, the prosecution, Oluwole Aladedoye (SAN), opposed the request, insisting that qualified public officers who meet the conditions exist, urging the court to refuse the application.
Delivering the ruling, Justice Joyce Abdulmalik declined the request to vary the bail conditions, holding that there are civil servants who own properties at the said location.
At Tuesday’s proceedings, the Department of State Services (DSS) closed its case against the former governor in the ongoing alleged wiretapping trial before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
At the resumed hearing, prosecuting counsel, Oluwole Aladedoye, informed the court that the prosecution would not be calling further witnesses in the matter, prompting the formal closure of the DSS case.
Following the development, defence counsel, Paul Erokoro told the court that the defence intends to file a no-case submission, arguing that the prosecution has failed to establish sufficient evidence against the former governor.
The defence subsequently sought two weeks to file the application, while the prosecution requested two weeks to respond and do the necessary filing.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik then fixed September 22 for hearing of the no case submission and the continuation of proceedings.
